When paying the Sisters on the fly annual membership dues you automatically receive the yearly patch.

Listed below are the badges we have created, which you may purchase once you have qualified to earn them. As we grow new badges will be created to go along with “Sisters” activities. As these become a reality we will let you know how to receive them

You can put these on your jacket, vest, wallpaper, sheets, panties, socks. In other words, you can just have the best time with them. The point is to show them off and earn them all…

The yearly dues badge is part of your dues, any other badge that you earn will cost $3.00 each.

That is the fun part of the game… We have instructions on how you can achieve the honor of earning the badge. Follow the instructions.

Anything that brings the Sisters together for the good of the group is fun for me. We will make you work for the badges and in order to receive them there will be a set of instructions for each badge. You will send the silly paperwork back for each Badge, and each badge will have an album with all of your pictures and notes for others to view. It is an accomplishment!

Sisters on the Fly paid adventures and Cowgirl Caravan “git togethers” (regional events) have the option of ordering these Badges for their event from the main office. It is up to whomever is putting on the event to collect money to purchase the Badges.

THE MARTINI BADGE

 The Martini Badge is actually a “LEMON DROP” Martini, however, we have decided that we will accept any other kind of martini.

1. Learn the recipe
2. Choose proper glass ware
3. Prepare the ingredients for the selected martini
4. Select proper vodka or gin
5. Select elegant or creative napkin on which the martini rests
6. Prepare the martini
7. Present the martini
8. Document the consuming of the martini
   1. take photo of you and another “sister” enjoying the martini
   2. or have a certified mixologist sign the bill, proving that you and another “sister” were enjoying this wonder of drinks.

THE COWGIRL COLLEGE BADGE

 You must have attended at least one Cowgirl College (if you were wounded and did not sue … we will need to special order purple hearts for you)

1. Give the date and location of the Cowgirl College you attended.
2. Describe in letter or photo form just what you learned.
3. Send a photo which shows your favorite memory; kissing a cowboy, sisters skinny dipping, hugging your horse……you get the idea.

THE FLY FISHING MERIT BADGE

 Sisters on the Fly was created to fly fish. From these roots we have broadened our horizons to incorporate a world of adventure.

In order to receive your Fly Fishing Merit Badge, please follow the instructions below. It would be wonderful to put together a few pages of photos and perhaps a small diary of the places you fished. You know that “Fish only hang out in beautiful places”. Have fun with this and make it creative.

1. When did you first learn to fly fish?
2. In order to receive your Sisters Merit Badge you must prove that you fished with other “Sisters”.
3. Tell us some of the locations of your fishing experiences.
4. Catch and Release? Kiss your fish goodbye?

THE TRAILER BADGE

 This is just about the best looking patch… it is an old one that we found and had created for our use…

In order to earn this patch you must:

1. Have a trailer
2. Send a picture of it all decorated, with the door open and ready for guests to come in… soooooo, you can be in the Picture… good idea!
3. Have flowers, a tray with hors’doeuvres and martini glasses ready for your guest…or some such thing to look inviting.

5. Send $5.00 per trailer patch.

THE HANDS HELPING HANDS BADGE

 Philanthropic : charitable, patron, humanitarian, donor, volunteer, unpaid, without being asked, sponsor

In order to earn this patch you must:

1. volunteer for something you are not paid to do, or expected to do.
2. Do something as simple as taking your neighbor to the doctor, it just needs to be for the right reasons with your heart in the right spot.

THE OUTDOOR COOKING BADGE

 

1. The date and whereabouts for the activity.
2. The recipe for the outdoor event.
3. Which sisters did you share this event with.
4. Describe whether it was Dutch Oven, Weinie Roast,(BBQ does not really work here) We are trying to get some fun and odd circumstances other than cooking hamburgers at home.

THE MAZIE BADGE

 Mazie is our Matriarch, she is the energy behind Sisters on the fly. We are honoring her by having a badge just for the kind of service that she has provided.

In order to earn this patch you must:

1. Becky and I often turn to one of our sisters and say “it is your turn to watch Mazie” well now you can earn a badge just for taking your turn to keep an eye on her. She can escape quite quickly, smokes cigars behind the barn, dances on the tables, drinks her martini each day. She hates complainers and our whole life time, if we were sick she would say “take a shower and you will feel better”… and you know to this day that works.
2. In order to buy a badge from the Mazie collection you must write a story telling us about your time with her. Those will be the most fun reading stories.

THE COWGIRL FINISHING SCHOOL BADGE

 This badge has been paid for by the event itself and can not be sold to anyone who did not attend this event. Anyone who wants to have a badge made for a particular event let me know and we will see if we can order it for you.

THE PURPLE HEART BADGE

 

1. What event did you get "hurt" at?
2. Describe in humor your "hurt" (we do not need horrid details)

THE KAYAKING BADGE

 To earn this patch you must:

Either send a picture or a description of the kayaking trip, double or singe kayak, sea or stream.
We have ordered this patch for the Kayaking trip on the Colorado River, year 2008, however anyone who kayaks can earn this badge.

THE NATIVE AMERICAN ADVENTURES BADGE

 In order to earn this badge you must:

Tell us the name of the Native American Indian Tribe that you visited.
Explain the adventure in detail and send a picture of you in the location.

THE RIVER RATS WITH COWGIRL HATS BADGE

 In order to earn this badge you must have some combination of a water event in which you participated in.

1. What did you do, when was the event?
2. Describe what you were doing?

THE DIVERSITY BADGE

 In order to earn this you have to promote diversity, ethnic, religious,cultural etc in work, school or play

THE CIGAR AFFECTIONATO BADGE

 In order to earn this you have to enjoy, partake a cigar of quality among friends while discussing world views

THE COWGIRL PROM BADGE

 In order to earn this you must:

1. Describe in detail the "gown" that you created for this event.
2. Where was this official event?
3. Tell us about the night... dinner? dancing? bar hoping? or what?

THE WORLD IS A STAGE BADGE

 This is about the Arts...

1. What form of Arts?
2. What are you involved in?
3. What is your most creative talent?

THE HOSTESS WITH THE MOSTESS BADGE

 In order to earn this patch, tell us:

1. What event did you host?
