DESCRIPTION:CAMPING NOTE....PLEASE READ! The Group Site is full (20 sites). Anyone who RSVPs after 8/8/16\, will be in a "walk up" campsite near the group site. No reservations can be made at the campground. Please contact Lori Thompson - lorithompson@kc.rr.com - for information.\n\nHostesses:  Natalie Jones - grmanatalie@yahoo.com and Karen Cuendet - grandoffice1@yahoo.com\n\nBefore it's time to button up our trailers\, tents and sleeping bags for the season.....let's have a FINAL FALL FLING!\n\nArrive Friday 10/21 - bring a snack to share and your favorite beverage as we gather 'round the campfire\nSaturday 10/22 - spend the day exploring the local area\, fishing\, kayak/canoeing\, potluck dinner and roasting marshmallows.\n\nPlease contact co-hostess (Lori Thompson - lorithompson@kc.rr.com) to be included in the Group Campsite. Your camping fee will depend on how many attend and we will share the $221 site fee. Final Fall Fling has been declared a PET FRIENDLY weekend!! Please read the policy and rules which you'l find in the Menu Section "All Forms &amp\; Helpful Info." Natalie Jones and Karen Cuendet\, wonderful hostesses that they are\, would like to collect donations for the SEK Humane Society in lieu of hostess gifts. We will post a list of items the shelter needs a little bit later.\n\nAbout Crawford State Park:\n\nLakeview Group Use area has 10 electric sites(we can double up) and is located at the south end of the lake. All of the campsites have a spectacular view of the lake. In addition\, Crawford State Park offers five lakefront rental cabins with all the comforts of home in a beautiful lake setting. The cabins are by available by reservation and are open year round.\n\nFor your convenience there are two boat ramps\, three bathhouses\, courtesy docks\, and a dump station. Four hiking and biking trails\, and a swimming beach offer more recreational opportunities in addition to camping\, fishing and boating. Limited food and convenience items and delicious meals are available at the marina restaurant Friday breakfast through Sunday. Anglers enjoy excellent fishing for channel catfish\, crappie\, and striped bass.\n\nLocated on the edge of the Ozarks\, Crawford State Park provides a variety of landscapes seen in Kansas state parks. Redbud trees offer spectacular beauty in the spring along with a wide variety of colorful wildflowers\, birds\, and butterflies. The lush foliage of the surrounding forest is a naturalist’s delight.
