Did anyone say OH LOOK - there's Bambi!?  Lots of nature in and around the park!  This could be one campground where even we get shown up by the abundant wildlife.  It isn't unusual to see gators, bears and even bears with cubs, at this park.  Money back promise--you WILL see deer.  This is a pet friendly event as long as your pet is friendly and well behaved. Any naughty pets will kindly escort their owners back to their humble abode for a well-deserved timeout!

Highland Hammocks State Park has several easy hiking trails so bring your hiking boots/shoes. See if you can find the wild coffee plants! There are also numerous things to do in and around Lake Placid where the Caladium Festival takes place and Sebring where the park is located.  Closer to the Caladium festival date we can decide what we all wish to do.
