Three years ago, while navigating profound grief, trauma, and the end of a 30-year marriage, I made a life-changing decision. On a whim, I bought a used van and set off alone across the country for the first time in my life.
What I discovered on the road transformed me. I met remarkable nomadic women who had overcome incredible challenges and rebuilt their lives through courage, adventure, community, and resilience. Their stories inspired me so deeply that I began collecting them, ultimately creating a book that celebrates the strength of women on the road and shines a positive light on the growing community of female vehicle dwellers.
